On Friday started again World Champions and even if I'm not a fan of hockey, here it has been fun to watch. You feel kinda connected with other Finns so I'm really trying to understand what's happening on the ice. We went to a Sport bar on a purpose to watch the game and have few beers but in the same bar happened to be a league that had won the champion in Finland! So everybody was having fun and we realized that it's more wise to drink till the morning and go to the train station without sleeping. We had bought train tickets to Prague for 5:30 next morning. So, we were quite drunk when we caught up the train and slept there our "night's sleep".
Prague was really beautiful but the hangover tiredness slowed up our trip. During Saturday we already saw all the most important sights and were thinking what to do in Sunday. Mostly I was waiting to see the astronomic clock and even if some people says that it is a disappointment when you see it on live, I think it was cool to see apostles in the window and a skeleton turning around a sandglass. And the trumpet player in the end of the show was like a cherry on the top. But the amount of tourists in Prague was annoying. The square where the clock was is blocked of tourist every hour when the clock starts to ring, and the same continues all the way to Charles bridge. I had wished to go to the bridge early on Sunday morning to take a picture without tourists but Ella didn't want to wake up 6 in the morning. So now I have a reason to go back to Prague!
Perjantaina alkoi taas MM-kisat ja vaikka en jääkiekon ystävä olekaan, täällä sitä on mukava katsoa. Tuntee sellaista yhteisöllisyyttä suomalaisten kanssa ja koitankin kovasti ymmärtää mitä siellä jäällä tapahtuu. Mentiin Sportti -baariin tarkoituksena juoda muutaman pelioluet, mutta samassa baarissa sattuikin olemaan Suomen mestatuuden voittaneet Porin Ässät ja jotenkin ajauduttiin näyttämään niille Budapestin yöelämää. Pojilla oli aivan juhlafiilis käynnissä joten mekin tajuttiin, että on järkevämpi nyt juoda aamuun asti ja mennä samoilla silmillä juna-asemalle. Meillä kun oli junaliput ostettuna 5:30 lähtevään Prahan junaan. Me siis mentiin aivan kännissä junaan aamulla ja nukuttiin siellä meidän "yöunemme".
Praha oli onneksi todella kaunis, vaikka krapulaväsymys vähän hidasti matkaa. Kierrettiin jo lauantain aikana kaikki tärkeimmät nähtävyydet ja mietittiin, että mitä me sunnuntaina tehdään. Olin eniten odottanut tietenkin astronomisen kellon näkemistä ja vaikka jotkut sanoo, että se on livenä pettymys, oli se kuitenkin mielenkiintoinen näky kun apostilit kurkkii ikkunasta ja luuranko kääntelee tiimalasia. Ja se torvinsoittaja vielä kruunasti näytöksen. Mutta mikä Prahassa ärsytti, niin se turistien määrä. Aukio, missä astronominen kello sijaitsee on joka tasatunnein tupaten täynnä ihmisiä ja sama jatkuu Kaarlen sillalle saakka. Olin toivonut, että menen silallle aikaisin sunnuntnaiaamuna ottamaan kuvan ilman muita turisteja, mutta en saanut Ellaa heräämään kello 6 aamulla. Nyt minulle siis on syy mennä joskus Prahaan takaisin!
