First week - Going out week

The first week has been busy but that i was expecting. The school has started and our exchange group seems to be small but the cooler! It consists of Finnish, Turkish, Portuguese and Polish. And of course our hungarian mentors which i like a lot!

We have been out at least:

Ensimmäinen viikko on ollut kiireistä niinkuin osasin odottaa. Koulu on alkanut ja meidän vaihtariporukka vaikuttaa pieneltä mutta sitäkin kivemmalta. Se koostuu suomalaisista, turkkilaisista, portugalilaisista ja puolalaisista. Ja tietenkin meidän unkarilaisista tutoreista, joista tykkään kovasti!

Monday in Morrison's 2

It was a cool place! Morrison's 2 has different rooms for different music types but "the main" room has the best music and you can smoke in the room which is kinda rare. After paying 500 HUF you can order 3 beers but it has to happen before midnight. And you know, 3 beers for me are enough!

Se oli kiva paikka! Morrison's 2 on eri huoneita, joissa kuullu erilaista musiikkia, mutta itse "päähuoneessa" on paras musiikkia ja siellä saa polttaa, mikä on aika harvinaista. Maksettuaan 500 Forinttia (1,7e) saa tilata 3 olutta, kunhan sen tekee ennen puoltayötä. Ja arvatkaas, 3 kaljaa on tarpeeksi minulle!

Tuesday in Instant

Instans is similar place to Morrison's but it has 26 rooms! But to be honest, the place was pretty weird. Hope i don't have to go back.

Instant on samantyylinen kuin Morrison, mutta siellä on peräti 26 huonetta! Mutta rehellisesti sanottuna, paikka oli vähä kummallinen. Toivottavasti ei tarvi mennä takaisin.

Wednesday in Peaches & Cream celebrating birthdays

This was a club i like with white leather couches and good music. But, the bitchy bartenders didn't serve for the girls. Every time they skipped the girls on the bar desk and let only the guys order. What's the point of that?

Tästä baarista tykkäsin valkoisine nahkasohvineen ja siellä kuului hyvä musiikkikin. Mutta koppavat baarimikot ei tarjoillu tytöille. Joka kerta ne hyppäs tyttöjen ohi baaritiskillä ja tarjoili vain pojille. Mikä idea siinä on?

The first ride with Metro!

On Sunday we were avoiding metros and all the public transport but today we had to give up and use the metro to get to Ikea. It was not what i had thought of and i was sure the metro will be broken before i'm in Ikea. We also showed how smart we are. We both are coming from small cities so using a metro haven't been everyday for us. Even buying the ticket was an achievement but we had to realize to stamp it before getting into the metro. Next stage was to get down for the metro and even that turned out to be difficult for us who are scearing highs

Sunnuntaina välteltiin metroja ja julkista liikennettä mutta tänään oli luovutettava ja käytettävä metroa päästäkseen Ikeaan. Metro ei ollut ihan mitä olin ajatellut ja olin varma että se hajoaa ennen Ikeaa. Todistettiin me myös viisautemme. Ollaanhan molemmat pikkukaupungista joten metron käyttäminen ei ole arkipäivää meille. Jopa lipun ostaminen oli saavutus mutta sen jälkeen meidän oli tajuttava stämpätä se ennen metroon nousua. Seuraava askel oli päästä metrolle ja sekin osoittautua vaikeaksi meille korkean paikan kammoisille.

On the way...

I'm sitting in the train. Excited! My feelings are complicated. In the first moment they are up and in the next one they are going down. But mostly i'm feeling extremely happy!

I've already had time to curse Hungary, the stupid money they have there, the ugly language, i heard that people are depressed there and i'm sure no one speaks english. With this attitude it's good to go live in Budapest for the next 4 months.


Istun junassa. Jännittää! Fiilikset on ollut todella sekavat ja mennyt edestakaisin (niin kuin mulla aina), mutta päällimmäisenä olen vain hirvittävän onnellinen!

Olen jo kerennyt kirota Unkarin, sen tyhmän rahat, sen ruman kielen, ihmisetkin on kuulema masentuneita eikä kukaan kuitenkaan puhu englantia. Tällä asenteella on siis hyvä lähteä Budapestiin 4 kuukaudeksi.
