Almost in Serbia

"All" of our friends were going to Serbia for the weekend. Me and Ella were thinking to go there a bit later than others because Ella's parents were in the city till Thursday. Friday morning we were thinking, should we go or not. We decided to go and half an hour before the train leaving we had packed everything and were running to the railway station. This moment I realized that I didn't have my passport with me but I hoped I don't need it. On the way we were calling to the hostel where our friends were that we would like to come also. They didn't have anymore rooms for us but they called me back few minutes later that they managed to put 2 matteressrs in the room of our friends.

Our train was suppose to leave 13:05. When we were at the train station, it was exactly 13:05 and we were about to go back home. Anyway, we decided to check if the train is late (Hungary) and yes it was! We asked the conductor if we still have time to buy the tickets and she said we have 5 minutes. We bought the tickets, found seats in full +30 dergrees train when I got a message from Sina that i DO need my passport. So, out of the train and back home. Whole weekend we was pissed off about what happened and didn't really do anything, just some partying with british people on Friday. I was trying to make myself feel better by saying that everything happens for a reason so maybe someone had kidnapped us and better we stayed home :)

"Kaikki" meidän kaverit oli menossa viikonlopuksi Serbiaan. Me Ellan kanssa ajateltiin mennä sinne vähän muita myöhemmin, koska Ellalla oli vanhemmat kylässä torstaihin saakka. Perjantai -aamuna vielä pähkäiltiin mennäkö vai eikö mennä. Puolta tuntia tuntia ennen junan lähtemistä oltiin pakattu tavarat ja juostiin kohti juna-asemaa. Tässä vaiheessa tajusin, etten ottanut passia mukaan mutta toivoin ettei sitä tarvita. Matkan varrella soitin hostelliin, jossa kaikki kaverit oli, että mekin haluttaisiin tulla. Hostellissa ei ollut enää vapaita huoneita mutta sieltä soitettiin parin minuutin päästä takaisin, että he onnistui laittamaan meille patjat meidän kavereiden huoneeseen.

Junan piti lähteä 13:05. Oltiin juna-asemalla 13:05 ja melkein jo käännyttiin saman tien takaisin kotiin. Päätettiin kuitenkin tarkistaa, ettei juna vaikka olisi myöhässä (Unkari) ja kyllähän se oli! Kysytiin konduktööriltä ehditäänkö vielä osaa liput ja hän sanoi, että meillä on 5 minuuttia. Ostettiin liput ja löydettiin itumapaikat 30 asteen junasta kun sain viestin Sinalta, että kyllä tarvitsen passin mukaan. Eli ulos junasta ja takaisin kotiin. Koko viikonlopun oltiin käärmeissään tapahtuneesa eikö oikein tehty mitään, paitsi juhlittiin brittiläisten kanssa perjantaina. Yritin piristää itseäni sanomalla että kaikella on tarkoituksensa, joten ehkä meidän olisi vaan kidnapattu, joten parempi että jäätiin kotiin :)

Balaton

And the Summer is here! For the whole week we have been sunbathing in a park or somewhere outside. Wearing black jeans is too much so i think I have to go shopping soon :P I found out that I had week-off from school so I had even more time to be outside.

Monday was Morrison's again. We went to the neighbor pub again before that cause got a little angry for our friends who want every night get super wasted with vodka. So we were not drinking like crazy and were  just a bit tipsy and didn't loose our phones and wallets in Morrioson's like someone...

On thursday we headed to Balaton for more sunbathing. I have heard a lot from the place, it is called Hungarian sea and the city Siófok is knows as a party city of Balaton. My expectations were so high that I was a bit disappointed. We couldn't find a real sand beach from the city and were sunbathing in the chairs or on the grass. But the weather was perfect, the lake beautiful and it was really relaxing. Felt like being abroad :) I think I wanna go back when there is the season and a lot of people partying.

Saturday we went to a park with our friends to get wasted. We stayed there till 2 or later and went home. It was something I have been waiting to do here - to drink outside!


Kesä on täällä! Koko viikon ollaan otettu aurinkoa puistossa tai jossain. Mustat farkut on jo liikaa, joten luulen, että pitää mennä kohta ostoksille :P Sain myös kuulla, että koulusta on viikon loma, joten oli vieläkin enemmän aikaa olla ulkosalla.

Maanantaina oltiin vaihteeksi Morrisonissa. Alkuilta vietettiin meidän naapuripubissa, koska vähän suututtiin meidän kavereilla jotka aina haluaa vetää perseet vodkalla. Ei siis juotu kun hullut vaan oltiin mukavasti huppelissa, eikä hukattu kännyköitä ja lompakoita kuten jotkut...

Torstaina suunnattiin Balaton järvelle aurongon ottoon. Olin kuullut paljon siitä paikasta. Toisella nimellä sitä kutsutaan Unkarin mereksi ja kaupunki Siófok on tunnettu bilepaikka Balatonilla. Odotukset oli niin korkealla, että ehkä vähän petyin. Me ei löydetty rehellistä hiekkarantaa vaan otettiin aurinkoa tuoleilla tai ruohikolla. Mutta sää oli täydellinen, järvi kaunis ja oli tosi rentouttavaa. Tuntui, kuin olisi ulkomailla :) Luulen, että menen takaisin sesongin aikaan, kun kaikki ihmiset on siellä bilettämässä.


Launtaina mentiin puistoon kavereitten kanssa kännäämään. Oltiin siellä 2 saakka tai myöhempään ja lähdettiin kotiin ilman clubeja. Tuotakin olen odottanut niin kauan - pihalla juomista!

Discovering Budapest

Back in Budapest and time to make myself busy with finding new places from this interesting city. Monday evening me and Ella went to a pub next to our place. I have read about this hidden bar with garden long time ago but i never went there before. But it was so cute! Almost every night they have some kind of live-music and today there was romanian/mongolian/asian/whatever music and people were dancing together. The atmosphere was just perfect.

Tuesday despite the hangover, we went with Sina to a candy store called Sugar shop. The store was full of candies as you can think from the name and there was also a cafeteria with the most sweetest cakes and milkshakes you can't even imagine. Too bad that i felt a bit sick because of Morrison's but I anyway enjoyed my chocolate-chocolate-whipped cream-chocolate-ice cream-milkshake!

In the end of the week the weather was finally starting to get better which meant that i wanted to spend as much time outside as possible! I'm always watching here from Pest side, how nice it looks at the other side of the river, in Buda, but because of the bad weather i never wanted to go to explore it. So on Saturday (i had hangover again because of the previous day's Vazquez+Doboz -combination) we took a tram to Buda and pointed eyes closed a road we wanna take and started walking. Buda was like a new world for me! I have been complaining how crowded Budapest is, full of people and baton but in Buda, there was a peace! There was even nature! So I was really happy and I didn't know anymore if I was in Greek or in Hungary. We happened to end up to one of the highest hills in Budapest and saw the views over the whole city.

On Sunday we had again one occupation, the City Park. So I found some nature from Pest also, but the people didn't go away...

The park was quite busy, but really sweet anyway.


Takaisin Budapestissä ja aika tehdä itsensä kiireiseksi etsimällä uusia paikkoja tästä mielenkiintoisesta kaupungista. Maanantai-iltana mentiin Ellan kanssa pubiin, joka sijaitsee lähes meidän naapurissa. Olen lukenut tästä paikasta jo kauan sitten, mutta nyt vasta pääsin käymään siellä. Se oli niin söpö! Melkein joka ilta siellä on jonkunlaista livemusiikkia ja tänään siellä oli romanialinen/mongolialainen/aasialainen/taiihansama -bändi soittamassa ja ihmiset tanssimassa yhdessä. Tunnelma oli täydellinen.

Tiistaina, krapulasta huolimatta, mentiin Sinan kanssa karkkikauppaan nimeltä Sugar Shop. Kauppa oli täynnä karkkeja niinkun nimestä voi päätellä sekä siellä oli kahvila, josta sai makeimpia kakkuja mitä voisit edes kuvitella. Harmi, että voin vähän pahoin Morrisonin takia, mutta joka tapauksessa nautin suklaa-suklaa-kermavaahto-suklaa-jäätelö-pirtelöstäni!

Loppuviikosta sää alkoi vihdoinkin olla parempi joten halusin olla pihalla niin paljon kuin mahdollista. Aina täältä Pestin puolelta katselen, miten hienolta joen toisella puolella Budassa näyttää, mutta huonojen ilmojen takia ei ole huvittanut lähteä sinne tarpomaan. Niimpä lauantaina (olin taas vähän huonovointinen edellispäivän Vasquez+Doboz -yhdistelmästä) otettiin tram Budaan ja summassa valittiin katu, jota pitkin sitten lähdettiin kävelemään. Budan puoli oli kuin uusi maailma minulle! Valitin aiemmin, koska Budapest on niin kiireinen, täynnä betonia ja ihmisiä, mutta Budassa oli rauha! Siellä oli jopa luontoa! Olin siis todella onnellinen, enkä enää tiennyt missä maassa olen - Kreikassa vai Unkarissa. Sattumoisin sitten päädyttiin yhdelle Unkarin korkeimmista kukkuloista ihastelemaan näköalaa koko kaupungin yltä. 

Sunnuntaina oli vielä yksi aluevaltaus, nimittäin Kaupungin puisto. Luontoa löytyi siis Pestinkin puolelta, mutta ihmiset eivät hävinneet. Puisto oli aika kiireinen, mutta todella herttainen joka tapauksessa.

City Park

10 days in Holland

I was going to Groningen for the easter but I came back to Budapest 10 days later, oops. Tuesday evening, one day before my flight, we started to think that hey, why am i going back to Budapest cause I don't even have lessons for the rest of the week. So the decision was made and next day i bought a new flight!

I heard it had been raining in Budapest but weather in Groningen was nice, the sun was shining every day and I had the first ice cream for the spring and first terrace beer! The days were relaxing - we were sleeping every day till the midday, eating breakfast, maybe going back to bed for relaxing, eating lunch with wine, doing something smart, eating dinner with wine and so on. It was good to see Rianne too of course and I spent few evenings in her Tennis club, maybe I should start playing as well... Me and Simon
also did a lovely biking trip to a little village outisde the city, went to movies, went to a spa, met a lot of new people, ate dutch specialities like sugar bun, cuddled with cats (to help my Vincent yerning) And the most important thing is that the company was the best in world <3

Oli tarkoitus mennä Groningeen pääsiäiseksi, mutta tulinkin takaisin Budapestiin 10 päivää myöhemmin, hups. Tiistai-iltana, päivää ennen lentoani takaisin, alettiin miettiä että hei, miksi olen lähdössä takaisin Budapestiin, jos mulla ei edes ole yhtään luentoa loppuviikoksi. Joten päätös oli tehty ja pstin seuraavana päivän uuden lipun!

Kuulema Budapestissä oli ollut sateista, mutta sää Groningessa oli ihana, aurinko paistoi joka päivä ja söin kevään ensimmäisen jäätelön ja join ensimmäisen terassioluen! Päivät muutenkin oli rentouttavia - nukuttiin puolille päivin joka päivä, syötiin aamupala, mentiin ehkä takaisin sänkyyn rentoutumaan lisää, syötiin lounas viinin kera, tehtiin jotain järkevää, syötiin illallinen viinin kera ja niin edes päin. Tehtiin myös ihana pyöräretki kaupungin ulkopuolelle pieneen kylään, käytiin elokuvassa, kylpylässä, tapasin paljon uusia ihmisiä, söin Hollantilaisia herkkuja kuten sokeripullaa ja hoivasin kissoja helpottamaan Vincent -ikävääni. Ja mikä tärkeintä, seura oli maailman parasta <3
